Cosmetic eyelid rejuvenation and eye bag removal for men has always been included in my surgical practice. A lot of mature men now are healthier and fit, and taking note of how their “sad eyes” don’t match their body.
Younger men between 20-30’s can achieve their goals with neurotoxins (Injectables) and Fillers. A “trans-conjuctival” Approach to lower eyelid bags can be done in this age group. Men in their 20’s and 30’s often come into my clinic for the repair of a mild droop or “Ptosis”. This surgery is done as an outpatient procedure.
Men in their 40’s and 50”s come to see me for non-surgical and surgical treatments due to aging. This includes softening wrinkles with neurotoxins (Injectables) and/or using fillers to soften contour issues. These procedures are all done in the clinic with no downtime. I also see men in their 40’s and 50’s, who have aging changes of the eyelids that need surgery.
For men in their 50’s and beyond, surgery is often what brings patients into my clinic. Heavy upper eyelids and lower lid bags are the usual complaints. I perform corrective/ functional upper and lower eyelid blepharoplasty. In men, I make sure to keep the eyelid look “Masculine” which can be achieved by the placement and shape of the upper lid crease and carefully tailoring how much skin needs to be removed from the upper eyelids. After surgery I treat patients with BOTOX to complement their procedure.
